We had a great stay with three families.
The accommodation was perfect for our needs and we were lucky enough with the weather to be outside for the whole weekend.
We made use of the garden and the great walks literally from the door . Close to Buxton too. Highly recommend.

Esther’s place was wonderful. We were a large group of friends with lots of young children. The place is spotless, spacious and very well equipped, especially for the kids with toys galore. Esther was very responsive with communication and helpful. The beds were also very comfortable! Despite the bad weather (as expected this time of year) our stay was magical, thank you so much Esther!

Beautiful cottage and just what we needed for a large group of 11 people getting together for Christmas.
The Christmas tree was lovely!
There is plenty of space with everything we needed. Amazing views all around. Games room was also well enjoyed.

This is a wonderful house in an amazing location and far exceeds any other air Bnb we have stayed in. We stopped with our children and their families for a long weekend, which included 4 little ones 2 being babies. The layout of the cottage was perfect. The facilities and equipment in the house far exceeded our expectations. Communication with Esther was flawless. We will definitely book again as we have nothing negative (apart from our stay was too short) to say about this cottage. Thank you Esther you made our stay memorable

Great house in a wonderful location. Plenty of space for 12, beautiful views and a great walk right from the doorstep to Chrome Hill. Lovely to have so many bathrooms and such great shared living space. We also rented a hot tub which was worth every penny. Esther was always responsive and kind, even helping with plasters when we had a cooking injury!

We couldn’t imagine a better place to stay - the beds are so comfy, the bedrooms so quiet, the kitchen and dining room so convivial, the big room is so spacious yet still warm and cosy, and the snug is perfect and our son loved the toys and books. We felt so at home here and Esther and Sam responded so quickly to every message and made the stay absolutely wonderful for us. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you Esther and Sam!

Lovely cottage not to far from buxton town centre. Some great surrounding walks and a fire pit to light at night. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Esther is a great host!

Thirkelow is a beautiful, tranquil place to stay. It is hidden away from the crowds yet so handy for exploring the area. Super for families as it has separate ends of the house with their own stairs. It has a super large family room too. It was spotlessly COVID clean!

Great space for families with small children, lots of games and toys which was a bonus. The extra room is a must and a good party space too. There are walks directly from the house which is handy. Esther was incredibly attentive and looked after all our needs. Brilliant place!

The cottage was in a magnificent setting with beautiful views. It was sparkling clean (the cleanest accommodation we've ever stayed in) and had every possible last little touch to make our stay easy and enjoyable. The furnishings, crockery and cutlery were much higher quality than I've experienced in other accommodation and the kitchen was well equipped with every utensil we could need. Esther was friendly, welcoming and accommodating and went out of her way to meet our needs even when this was inconvenient fer her.
